GOES-M Update

AMF #8 was successfully executed yesterday, Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at 1737z. The burn lasted 8 minutes and 35 seconds. The Main Spacecraft Thruster flange temperature profile tracked that of the previous AMFs. All subsystems are safe and remain well within limits. The post-maneuver perigee is now ~ 6724 km, the orbital period is ~ 24 hours and inclination is just over 1 degree. The next (and final!) apogee maneuver, AMF #9, is planed for Thursday, August 9, at 1746z, with a burn duration of 6.25 minutes
