GOES-M Update
GOES-M Apogee Motor Firing (AMF)#6 was successfully executed Friday,
August 3, at 804 AM EDT. The burn duration was 640 seconds. The thruster
temperatures remained well below the 260 degree C temperature limit
throughout the firing. Following the successful burn, the spacecraft
was returned to sun acquisition mode. All other spacecraft systems
are nominal.
Four to five more firings of the GOES-M apogee motor are planned,
with the final apogee adjust maneuver scheduled for Sunday, August
12, at approximately 9:00AM. GOES-M will become GOES-12 at that time.
