Countdown began the evening of Feb. 2, 2009, with spacecraft power on at approximately 8:00 pm PST. Final spacecraft closeouts and fairing flight door sealing are scheduled to begin around 7:30 am PST Tuesday and be completed by 10:00 am PST. Liftoff is scheduled for 02:22:01 am PST Wednesday morning.

The weather forecast is favorable for the Wednesday morning launch attempt, but degrades considerably for the rest of the week.
